Our staff works with supervising faculty to design a custom program, arrange academic visits, and provide a sample syllabi and readings that connect the program with the course, program, and university. We assist you with recruitment for the program and help you handle the university approval process by providing a sample program proposal.
A full-time Tour Director accompanies your group 24 hours-a-day from arrival to departure. They lead the group through the itinerary each day.
Orchestrated tours that run smoothly
Each supervising faculty member chooses the type of accommodations they believe are the best fit. In most ExplorED trips, students share twin rooms in tourist class hotels. To save costs for students (particularly in longer trips), we often stay in youth hostels during portions of the trip. All faculty have their own private room with bathrooms regardless of where the group stays.
A daily breakfast each day is included and a ExplorED Tour Director also coordinates a group welcome and farewell dinner at local restaurants for each trip. Tours may also arrange to include between 5-15 additional group meals.
Peace of mind that every detail is covered
ExplorED programs include tips/gratuities in the program fee, saving thousands in additional costs. All admission tickets for scheduled tours listed in the itinerary are also included in the program fee.
Most ExplorED Tours programs are designed for 2 to 3 weeks of "land only" travel, but we gladly coordinate group airfare.
Privates coaches/buses are used for airport transfers and transportation between cities. These coaches often stay with the group throughout the trip.
Consideration of faculty and their guests
ExplorED Tours go beyond the competition by offering one free place for a faculty's family member or friend as long as they share the same room. Depending on group size, we offer discount spaces (30%-50% off) for additional family/friends for non-shared rooms.
